Snagging lists for contractors and site managers

Walk the floor before handover, talk through what you find and take the photos. Report Metric drafts the snag list in your format, by location, with the trade and action for each item, so your time goes on checking, not typing.

What each snag carries

  • A reference, the location and the trade from your own trade list.
  • Your severity labels, the defect and the action.
  • The note line or photo it came from.

When a snag is questioned

Each item shows the note line or photo it came from, and the report's history shows every edit, who reviewed it and who signed it off. See snagging reports for the full detail.

Common questions

Will it give the right trade?

It uses your trade list when the evidence makes the trade clear. Otherwise it writes the trade as given in your notes, or "Not stated", for you to fill in.

Can site managers use it on site?

Record the walk-round on an iPhone with Note Metric and take photos. Review and sign-off happen in Report Metric.

Who signs off the snag list?

Whoever your firm chooses. Sign-off needs every item ticked reviewed, plus a name, role and date.

Try it on the reports you write

Report Metric is in early access. AI Metric sets up each firm's workspace with its own report types, wording and branding, and shows it working on made-up site notes first.
